Hi all,
it's been a lot of time from the last update for PCF, so it's the moment to give you some news about the future.

PCF12 is nearly complete.
As every year, it will include some new competitions and new leagues (mostly second divisions from Europe, as first european divisions were quite complete).
Some new adjustments in match simulations, transfer market and player infos. The game is faster tham before, and you can select to disable teams not needed for the game to increase speed very much.
Two users (Mauro and Gonzalo) helped us with the database, and now every player has about 25 individual skills. We'll have 35.000 players and over 1.300 teams.

The main news for PCF12 is (was?) the NBA! Unfortunately they heard us and they decide not to pay this year! So, NBA won't be available in the first version, we hope it will be later. We also included a cool Draft selection, but you'll see that in the following updates.

I will post a complete list of the features of the new game.

When? I'm not sure at the moment, but I suppose December 8th/9th/10th.

Hi all,

it's now available the 1.0.5 update with the following changes:

- IMPORTANT! Following many requests, we now have tooltips in every screen, to help users (actually only in Italian and English, soon in all languages)
- IMPORTANT! New substitions system available: "Guided substitutions", you can distribute the amount of minutes between your players before and during a match!
- Argentinian League has now more accurate abilities (thanks to Chasky33 for his great job!)
- New league, from the only missing continent in PCF: Nigeria!
- fixed: correct quarterfinals pairings in FIBA National Competition
- player strength is now affected by injuries: a long injury can reduce the total skill
- fixed a bug that sometimes happened when doing a summer contract renewal for top players (requests were randomly very low, from 200 to 300 EUR)

PCF 1.0.3 Version

Hi all,

the new version will be available very soon, check out the download section.

Here's the changelog:

- IMPORTANT: PCF11 is now also in French!!
- IMPORTANT: better realism in rebounds, assists and points distribution among players. Now we have more realistic stats
- new feature: annual budget for arena maintenace, the more you spend, the less you have to rebuild seats
- new feature: upload your progress to PCF11 server, to compare your skills with all the players around the world!
- new accurate salary amount for player with top skills in certain attributes
- staff members have now less expensive salaries (more improvement about this in the future)
- improved salary system when buying players from other countries/leagues
- improved cash and salary cap calculation at season beginning: now users who reduced salaries are not penalized in the following year
- improved calculation for sponsorship: now less random and more based on team's results and targets
- new option in Settings (at game startup): B2D speed, useful to adjust the speed of visual simulation for slower or faster PCs
- added team value display in selection screen (when starting a new game) and now stars are correctly represting the right strength
- fixed a display bug in team comparison in match overview
- fixed a display bug in coach information (happened after 15 seasons of play)
- fixed a translation bug in schemes efficiency
- fixed: sponsorhsip contracts with length longer than current season will be extended for the following season (when resigning with the same team)
- fixed format: EuroChallenge finalist now plays Eurocup the next season
- fixed format: VTB Semifinals with correct pairings

Hi all, it's now available in download section the new update for PCF11.

Here's the changelog:

- IMPORTANT: new players overall skill calculation system, now more close to real. Thanks to Mauro and Gonzalo for their work!
- IMPORTANT: new single abilities range: now from 1 to 100, just to have a better unit of measure between all players
- IMPORTANT: new individual skills like power, strength, 2pt inside/outside, blocks, defensive/offensive rebounds. These stats are only visible for your players
- Increased minimum transfer offer for players with signed contract (and not on transfer list)
- Reduced form regaining for players not called for game
- Updated translation for Serbian language (thanks to Ivan Vlajic!)
- Update Israeli League RS format: now with 27 games
- Fixed a bug when trying to hire new staff at the end of the season
- Fixed a bug when saving players' high at the end of the season (causing wrong career highs display)
- Fixed a bug in Africa Final Qualification Round for FIBA Olympics (standing wasn't updated)
- Fixed a bug when trying to continue a savegame (from version 1.0.0) with a created team
- Fixed minor issues when buying player from transfermarket

No, non siamo spariti... è che ci siamo dedicati molto agli stranieri tralasciando un po' gli aggiornamenti sul forum in lingua italiana, tanto voi ci conoscete già

Volevo fare un piccolo punto della situazione su quanto fatto fino ad oggi e pianificare quanto in cantiere.

PCF10 è andato bene, anzi quasi direi fin troppo bene. Nonostante siamo partiti da zero i bug sono stati abbastanza contenuti e, soprattutto, quelli emersi sono stati tutti risolti grazie anche alla migrazione al più gestibile .NET
Il rovescio della medaglia è dato dal fatto che i rilasci sono stati numericamente inferiori così abbiamo avuto meno download rispetto al passato... ma è tutta qualità guadagnata!
Il sistema di notifica automatica di nuove versioni ha fatto si che non fosse necessario dover aprire una news sul blog del sito per annunciare le uscite.

Le statistiche parlano di oltre 24.000 download unici in meno di 5 mesi, dei quali 17.500 sono italiani.
Ci sono state gradite sorprese dall'estero, oltre agli amici spagnoli (quasi 5.000 download), Serbia, Francia e Grecia hanno passato i 150 download. Gli ultimi campionati aggiunti hanno portato visite perfino dalla Finlandia che si è addirittura piazzata al sesto posto.

A giorni uscirà la versione 1.1.2 che potremmo considerare la FINAL di PCF10. E' una release praticamente solo di roster, dato che siamo ai playoff in parecchi campionati, e con l'arrivo delle ultime partite parecchie squadre hanno fatto aggiustamenti. Per il resto ci sarà la sistemazione per le squadre create (che con la 1.1 non erano utilizzabili) e altre poche rettifiche che troverete nel changelog.

Capitolo futuro.
Visto che il nucleo principale del gioco è molto stabile, contiamo di non apportare grosse variazioni nè a livello strutturale, nè a livello grafico. Sto rifacendo ad uno a uno i loghi di tutte le squadre (lavoraccio...) rendendoli più grandi degli attuali ed in 3D: finora i risultati sono soddisfacenti, magari posteremo qualche esempio sul forum. Sulla restante grafica non credo ci saranno altri eccessivi ritocchi, Davide sta "studiando" il 3D anche per la parte animata del gioco ma non possiamo sbilanciarci su questo punto.

Per quanto riguarda il motore gioco contiamo di inserire la gestione del coach che diventerà una persona fisica a sè stante, quindi potrà cambiare squadra, essere esonerato ed avere un palmares personale, con tanto di videata riepilogativa come per giocatori e squadre.
In più ci lanceremo su una variazione relativa alle cosiddette superleghe europee nuove (come VTB o Balkan) così da poter inserire anche i campionati nazionali che attualmente siamo costretti ad ignorare a causa di altre due superleghe (parlo della Lega Adriatica e della Lega Baltica). Potremmo così avere anche i campionati nazionali come quello Lituano, Estone, Lettone ...

Ciao a tutti,
da pochi minuti è disponibile nella pagina dei download la nuova versione di PCF10.

Abbiamo risolto tutti i bug noti e con spiegazioni chiare.
Tra i più importanti ci sono quelli relativi alle istruzioni UPDATE (una a fine anno, una nel mensile) e la disabilitazione del sonoro di default per permettere di giocare anche a chi non entrava del tutto nel gioco.

Nella pagina dei download è disponibile il changelog completo.

In più, da questa versione (grazie ad Ipse) il gioco è per la prima volta anche in Spagnolo. Considerate che i download di PCF10 fino ad oggi sono fatti da uno spagnolo ogni 4 italiani....

alcuni chiarimenti:
- Potete tranquillamente continuare le vostre partite
- l'aggiornamento è consigliato anche a chi non ha riscontrato anomalie
- non è necessario disinstallare nulla prima di proseguire

per i bugs c'è un nuovo thread, scrivete lì e NON inviate mail al sottoscritto se non ve lo specifichiamo nel forum noi.

- non usate questo post per postare bug

A breve sostituiremo il componente del media player dato che appoggiarci su WMP ha creato + problemi che vantaggi.

Stiamo testando a go-go, alcune imperfezioni ma gira tutto senza problemi.

Un po' per sfatare il mito del... "ma è vero che PCF10 esiste?"
Un po' perchè mi sono girate le balle a vedere la mia punta di diamante con uno 0/8 dal campo e un bel -14 di valutazione...
un po' perchè per la prima volta mi sono tuffato nel post dei record per vedere se c'era registrata una prestazione simile...

Sono il primo ad odiare gli SPAMMER... ma per una volta lo faccio io!

Dopo circa un anno di lavoro, posso felicemente comunicare che è uscito il primo cd del mio gruppo...
E' stata una faticaccia, ma finalmente abbiamo racchiuso i nostri 11 pezzi in 53 minuti!
